By Steve England, ESVN - It's the start of June, and tennis weather should prevail throughout the season now. The French Open is in progress, and we're on track to finish up during the US Open as planned. The second-round has ended with most matches completed, and I'm optimistic that the remaining second-round matches will conclude soon.
As we enter the third-round, the North and South satellite brackets become active. In the North... JT is the favorite but runs into a potential roadblock with "BY". The CD/KB match-up should prove competitive, while CA should get valuable experience against MG.
Looking South - DR benefits from two byes, which position him in the South-Final already. He's certainly the favorite down south, but may face stiff competition getting his name on the Regional-Trophy. There are two supes down there, and I known Dean would love to battle one of them for the South Title. The losers of DH/ZP, and AS/DS will complete the south action.
Meanwhile, in the main draw... several match-ups promise dramatic potential! TB vs OC could be the most shocking! OC could be the one to derail Sopcic's race to the title. KS/MM will likely be a three set battle, and BW/RB will also be a tight race. MN may surprise TR, while DNR/SV fill out the third-round.
