SV secures playoff berth!
Norwalk Tennis Complex, By Steve England, ESVN - The West Semifinal offered both combatants two opportunities to make the playoffs. With today's victory, SV will either take the West Championship, or make the playoffs as the West Runner-up. SV joins TR as the first to be guaranteed their names on the Regional Champion's Trophy! Meanwhile, AJ will play the loser of DH/KS for a chance to get his name on the Regional Champions Trophy!
Today's conditions weren't as severe as yesterday's CA/KB match, but difficult none the less! SV benefited from AJ's lack of match play this year. AJ and CG had an unusually large number of byes along their bracket path, and consequently AJ hasn't had a need to play much this season. Despite his lack of practice, AJ was able to ace SV on one occasion, and fought back from a love-40 deficit in the 5th game of the second set to tie at deuce!
