By Matt Sopcic, TTN -- This could possibly be one of the most hyped up regular season days of tennis yet and the matches did not fail to disappoint! In a match of possible title contenders between JT and DR a crowd was on hand to see the gloves thrown down for a battle between top talent! JT had a look of revenge in his eyes (remembering that it was DR who removed him from the tournament last year) and came out of the gates hot grabbing a 3-0 lead. DR knew that he couldn't allow the momentum to stay in his opponents favor and with the entire family watching, dug deep to dominate the next 4 games. The volleys were long, often reaching 10-15 hits which took a toll on both players. JT appeared to dig a little deeper and took the momentum back by taking the following 3 games for a 6-4 1st set win.
Set #2 was controlled by JT from the start, the constant running back and forth during long volleys started to wear DR down. Although he was able to return a lot of JT's best shots, the dynasty champion was able to figure out his forehand and place shots to secure the win.
