A Marlboro Marathon!!!

BY/OC smoke the court in a tobacco tango!

By Steve England, ESVN - "BY" returns to the courts, to take on OC for a chance to advance!  Some of our newer controllers may be unfamiliar with "BY".  "BY" began his air traffic career in the Air Force the same year our nation celebrated it's bicentennial.  He joined the FAA in 1982 helping our agency to recover from the crippling strike which abruptly ended thousands of our predecessors careers. He helped to train hundreds of new controllers over the years, served as our longest serving FACREP, and was instrumental in developing the STARS scopes we use everyday.  In retirement Steve began his own small business (Lineage Lawns), but continues to participate in our tournament, putting aside his busy schedule to hone his game, and strive for victory!

Today victory eluded him when he went up against last year's Supe-Killer OC.  Nate's formidable stroke execution was certainly a factor, but unforced errors were a major element in this match.   Despite a lack of practice due to the demands of Steve's business.  "BY" takes the 2nd-set 5-7, before Nate closes the lid with a final coffin nail.  In a battle of two smokers, OC tops BY 6-1,5-7,6-3.
